We are pleased to offer 13 Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarship awards for outstanding applicants who apply to full-time undergraduate studies. There are 11, 50% tuition fee scholarships and 2 100% tuition scholarships.

Eligibility criteria
50% tuition fees:
To be considered for the 50% scholarships applicants must:
• be a national of one of the following countries: India, Kenya, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, USA
• be assessed as international for fee purposes
• hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city-centre campus for the 2021/22 academic year
• already have or expect to receive a minimum of ABB at A Level or equivalent
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.
100% tuition fees:
To be considered for the 100% scholarships applicants must:
• be a national of one of the following countries: USA, India
• be assessed as international for fee purposes
• hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree programme at the University’s Newcastle city-centre campus for the 2021/22 academic year
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.

International Baccalaureate Excellence Scholarship
If you’re starting at Essex in 2021 and achieve academic excellence in your International Baccalaureate, we will offer you a scholarship of £2,000 for your first year.
Eligibility
You must meet all of the following conditions:
- have received an offer of admission for entry to the University of Essex for 2021-22
- register for a full-time undergraduate degree at the University of Essex with first enrolment in 2021-22
- be in your first year of study at the University at the start of the award
- have obtained 34 points or more in the International Baccalaureate
Students who aren’t eligible
You are not eligible for the award, even if you meet the criteria above, if you fall into any of the following categories:
- you are on a Higher/Degree Apprenticeship course
- your course is at East 15 Acting School
- you are directly continuing from one course to another (for example, from foundation degree or HND on to the final year of an honours degree)
- you are transferring into the second year from another UK higher education institution
Academic Excellence International Masters Scholarship
If you’re an international student, took your undergraduate degree overseas or in the UK and are self-funding your postgraduate studies, you could be eligible for a scholarship worth up to £5,000, paid as a discount on your tuition fee. If you are a national of one of the countries listed above and you have a degree from a recognised UK university other than Essex with First Class or Upper Second Class Honours, you may be eligible for an award worth £2,000.
Eligibility
You must meet all of the following conditions:
- be classified as an international student for fee purposes
- be entirely self-funding your studies
- for 2020-21 entry: be applying for a full-time Masters course starting in October 2020 or January 2021 (excluding MBA)
- for 2021-22 entry: be applying for a full-time Masters course starting in October 2021
- meet the academic criteria in the table above
- be available for promotional activities
For January 2021 entry: If you meet all the eligibility criteria and firmly accept the offer of your place by 4 December 2020 then you will automatically be awarded this scholarship. You’ll be notified of your award when your place at Essex is confirmed or by end of December 2020.
For 2021-22 entry: If you meet all the eligibility criteria and firmly accept the offer of your place by 18 September 2021 then you will automatically be awarded this scholarship. You’ll be notified of your award when your place at Essex is confirmed or by the end of October 2020.
Queen’s University Belfast, Management School Scholarship 2021
Around 100 awards of £3000 available exclusively for applicants studying postgraduate taught programmes from any of the following countries:
Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey or Vietnam.
Applicants to the Master of Business Administration programme MBA are excluded from the Queen’s Management School Scholarship 2021.
Students must meet the criteria specific to their home country as shown in the table below, to be eligible to apply for the scholarship. These criteria are in no way connected to any conditions detailed in the academic offer received from Queen’s University Belfast, which must be met to gain entry to the University:
